Unknown Skin Fungus What Should I Do About An Unknown Horse Fungus?

What should I do about an unknown horse fungus? - unknown skin fungus

I've recently bought a lousy Appendix Quarter Horse. After the inspection, I realized he had a small wound on his chest and looks as if your skin starts to flake. This is done on its hind legs. To the best of my knowledge not yet been lately blankets or boots in the promotion of the leg. Can anyone identify them and gives me an effective treatment? Thank you very much.

The only way to be sure that the vet come to see and to collect a sample, if necessary, and to a laboratory for analysis.

That is, to fly but I have seen people use Repel-X Spray Concentrate for dilution error (), including the right and had their horses Peel. It seems that the small flakes gray skin, usually on the chest, neck and / or the abdominal area. I turn to another soft fly spray, and use citronella oil or Bronco and economical. I avoid cleaning, you must adjust your sprayer in a fine mist, and not to soak the jacket in the water.

As for the rear legs, the hair comes in pieces, if you scratch with your fingernail or curry? Small groups of white feathers with short hair? Leave a thin back so soon? If so, I would be dirt reptiles. Continued from inadequate preparation.

To rid your horse in this region (which has little to do with Flyspray), the use of soft rubber curry WITH Scruff hair on the legs. Incidentally, this is usually back at the front of the gunand rear / bottom of the chestnut back leg.

Once you hair Curry, head washstall and warm water with a mild soap. I like Absorbine Santa Fe, ivory or detergent. Use rubber-Curry put it, and apply the soap with a smooth victory. Later, at the head, rinse well and repeat. Several times.

It is not unusual to make this foam / wash 4 + times to remove it completely. Especialy if the shit is heavy, your horse will not wash once tolerated. You can bleed it. If you have any signs of skin or bright pink, stop and his 2nd or 3 Washing / rinsing after several days to a week.

Always dry between lava and mud, shake again and stop sweat after walking age of this newspaper.

Even without seeing, it is difficult to say why I recommend to the vet for evaluation. But it seems that the two above-mentioned conditions. Nothing serious, and easily curable.

Best of luck.

It is a simple matter to your veterinarian for a cell scraping and really identify the problem is. In the long run you will save money spent on the abuse, and make your horse to the worsening of the disease, while playing a guessing game about treatment alternatives. Therefore, I guarantee you that this team can be with the condition of the skin to identify the horse. In addition, each is treated differently depending on what it is. Therefore, unless you've correctly identify the FP and the material evidence to that situation, even while blindfolded in the dark and hope to reach the target with an arrow. I am also curious to know why you assume it is a fungus?

This type of fungus could be the poor preparation before the horse. The clean-up work could only have brought this to light.

A fungicide is a good mixture of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water. Wash and rinse the area with the solution.

This could be a good start. If it moves, or if they are crusts or drainage installations, I would become a veterinarian.

Good luck.

I am not sure because I have never seen or heard of such a disease, but I would say, UR vet and tell him what happened. Maybe u can say what is and what u do. If the NT, you must leave your home or wherever ur horse and is taking a look at him. At the moment I would put a drug / ointment on it. You find your nearest store cattle or horses. TSC (Tractor Supply Company) performs a variety of ointments and medications that can help ...
Good luck and I hope your horse is better soon!

It could be due to irritation of the animal feed or a skin rash of some kind ... I would like to call your vet and just look out from Incase. Keep a record of the spread and to pay attention to the vet can come out. Try not to eat or any other unusual or feed. I have no better advice! Good luck!
